Hello there, my name is Krysten Newby – a versatile UK freelance illustrator and graphic designer, residing in Bury St Edmunds, located in the rural county of Suffolk.
I have been doodling and creating for as long as I can remember – I’m a self confessed O.C.D sufferer (Obsessive Creative Disorder). Growing up in rural Suffolk, I’ve always been so inspired by my surroundings consisting of wildlife and miles of gorgeous countryside. Birds & British wildlife in particular are my number one source of inspiration, you’ll see it a lot in my work.
In 2014, I graduated from University Campus Suffolk with a Bachelor’s first class degree in Graphic Communication. Since then, I worked for a few months at a local design studio, then went off on my own to do part time freelance work, which I’m pursuing today.
I guess you’re wondering what I get up to when I’m not designing, eh? Well, going back to my admiration for wildlife again – another passion and hobby of mine is taxidermy. I’m an ethical taxidermist (Since 2013) – I combined my design skills with my taxidermy skills and I now manage and own a brand by the name of Perished Pets. “No food or water required!”
Over the years, I have had the pleasure of working with some amazing clients working on a huge variety of projects including custom logos, full branding, packaging, tattoo design, posters, magazine illustrations, apparel & band merchandise, to name a few.
I’m always looking to work with new clients, so if you have a creative brief you would like me to bring to life, feel free to send my way! Or you just want to say hi, please don’t hesitate to get in touch.
